Review: Dr. Herbert West & Astounding Tales of Medical Malpractice is about a boy genius who accidentally creates zombies with a hunger for sweets but it’s told through the narration of his sister who is surfeited with his nonstop dangerous experimentation. Together they must try to undo his latest fiasco alternating between bickering and working together. Time is of the essence and if they don’t stop the zombies before they run out of cakes and switch to hunting humans, they will surely have to move again to escape their latest embarrassment!

This was a really fun, quick read. 78 pages beautifully illustrated with vivid use of color. The story was exciting and fast-paced and at times even really humorous. I didn’t know how it was going to end and enjoyed the entire journey. I would recommend this to anyone who likes comics or graphic novels especially with darker themes like mad scientists and zombies.
