Description: This is an educational book with a fun story and beautiful illustrations. It teaches children homophones (like tail/tale) while telling an action-packed story. It’s a book children will want to read again and again and they will greatly enjoy looking at the pictures.
Review: I really loved this book. I also loved that my infant, from 3 mo+ actually pays attention when I read her this book! The bright, colorful pictures are eye-catching and super cute, I think all kids will love them. Though my little girl doesn’t get homophones yet this is a great way for kids to learn them and I look forward to using this book as a tool when we get to that point. The art is gorgeous and contains so much motion and emotion in a 2d space! The story is thoughtful and has both lessons about homophones, and being a good person and friend. Examples of homophones are frequently used in context in a very natural way. I think kids will learn well from this style. The fox characters are really well fleshed out with different personalities but lots of love between them. There is a handy glossary with definitions for the more challenging words. And there are even learning tools at the end of the book to reinforce the lesson on homophones. This is a picture book that packs a lot of punch and I would highly recommend it to anyone for their children’s library or as a gift for the little ones in your life. It’s educational but in a fun and exciting way.
