Description: Kyle and Grace have tickets to attend a weekend murder mystery game but the two days of fake game murders are mixed with real murders. Kyle and Grace find themselves on a real life hunt for a real killer.

In Short: This story is a fun murder mystery weekend game full of fake and real murders. It’s full of twists and turns and has a great plot.

Pros: The  secluded Victorian mansion was a perfect setting for this story.  It has a cast of interesting characters and the main characters were fun and likable. I couldn’t put this book down it kept me wanting to see what was going to happen next.

Cons:  I had no notable issues with this book.

Amazon Blurb:

It’s all fun and games until someone dies.

It’s the Crystal Palace Hotel’s 5th annual murder mystery game extravaganza. A weeklong event of clues, costumes, red herrings, suspense, chills and murders spread across the hotel’s expansive mountaintop acres.

Kyle and Grace have secured two tickets to the most coveted game the Crystal Palace has to offer. Two days at Murder Manor, a Victorian mansion secluded far away from the hotel and nestled within an elaborate hedge maze. Two days of safe murderous fun or so they thought but when a dead body is found floating in the pond near the hotel and rumors abound of a killer lurking on the grounds, Grace begins to wonder whether they are truly safe and how can you know what’s real when every one is pretending to be someone they’re not. With only each other to rely on, Grace and Kyle go on the hunt for a dangerous killer stalking the manor and its guests.

  1. This sounds like fun! I’ve always liked the idea of being part of one of these murder mystery weekends:). But perhaps – in the light of this book – I won’t take the plunge.

    1. We got a murder mystery game in a box once and had a murder mystery dinner where everyone got a booklet and had to be in character. It ended up being a lot of fun!
This book also reminds me of that movie ‘Game Night.’
