Hello awesome readers and welcome to Teaser Tuesday, a Meme, created by The Purple Booker, that wants you to add books to your TBR, or just share what you are currently reading. It is very easy to play along:
– Grab your current read
– Open to a random page
– Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
– BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
– Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday.
Here’s my current read:
Actually, I’m currently reading an ARC so I grabbed a book off my shelf instead, this new release, Mind The Edge. I opened up to the middle-ish and found a good quote right off! Hopefully this doesn’t spoil anything, it’s a juicy one!
Here are my teaser sentences (no spoilers):
“Hopefully his own autopsy report would give him some form of memory jog.”
“How long did the system retain its records of entries and exits.”
“Dr. Stein. Just like the man who created a monster.”What if Frankenstein’s monster was self created? The coroner working at the Montgomery-Oratio Research and Government Institute in Toronto is not your average man, try as he might to deflect and keep it secret. The emotionless Dr. Samuel Stein is a man with only one true interest in life: to live forever. A top-notch brain and the doctorates to go with it are enough to know he’s good at what he does, but that doesn’t stop him from making everyone aware of his intelligence whether they want to or not. When the morgue doors lock, he harvests parts of the bodies on his autopsy table to improve himself. Still, the skilled hands and eyes he wields solve murder cases with efficiency and accuracy. This provides him with a fresh flow of bodies, until a murder occurs that is too close to home, causing the main suspect to be none other than Dr. Stein himself.
